The Practical Vibration Primer by Charles Jackson

ISBN 9780982051788

Our Price: $49.00

Overview Contents

The Practical Vibration Primer, by Charles Jackson, was the first book on machinery vibrations written expressly for the user.  It deals with the basics - alignment, balancing, and vibration of machines.  Even though the book is over 25 years old, it contains material not presented in other publications and is therefore considered a classic.  The Primer is filled with ideas on good machine practice that will help the user not only understand what is important, but what responses occur when trouble occurs.

Old is the new New March 3, 2009
Reviewer: Terrence O'Hanlon from Fort Myers, FL United States
I was first introduced to this book by John Mitchell who was delivering an outstanding keynote address about the history of condition monitoring at our Predictive Maintenance Conference in Las Vegas.

John lamented the fact some of the greatest works about vibration monitoring had been dropped by the publishers and had literally gone out of print.

That set me off on a journey of close to a year tracking down publishing rights, contacting authors, updating and sometimes creating new digital artwork from scratch.

Charles Jacksons book is the first in what we call the Foundation Series of books we are bringing back to print.

I could have taken enough satisfaction having brought this wonderful work back to life for a new generation of maintenance professionals but when I spoke to Jean Jackson, Charles Wife, about this project, the pride in her husband and his work came beaming through and that was simply the best.
