If you are new to maintenance, cease all other activity and order this book immediately. The Maintenance Engineering Handbook includes a comprehensive overview of everything you need to know to get started in a maintenance program. Each chapter could stand alone and is deeper than many books that attempt to cover the same material.
This book contains strategies, techniques, technology and plain old basic wisdom on most everything you would find in an industrial plant of facility. If you are a seasoned pro, this book makes an excellent addition to your reference library because R. Keith Mobley has a unique perspective that sets him apart from many of today's maintenance Pundits. You can also lend it to your new hires before you let them loose in the plant.
